What is Synchro/SimTraffic?

Synchro and SimTraffic are software tools developed by Trafficware (now part of Cubic Transportation Systems) for traffic signal timing optimization and traffic microsimulation, respectively. Synchro is used to optimize traffic signal timings to reduce delays and improve traffic flow. SimTraffic is used to simulate traffic flow based on the optimized timing plans from Synchro, allowing users to visualize and analyze the impacts of different signal timing strategies. They are often used together to design and evaluate traffic management plans before implementation in the real world.
