What is Xilinx?

Xilinx (now part of AMD) is a semiconductor company that is best known as the inventor of the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). FPGAs are integrated circuits that can be reconfigured by designers after manufacturing, allowing for customized hardware acceleration and logic implementation for a wide range of applications, including aerospace, automotive, data centers, and telecommunications. Xilinx also provides adaptive SoCs (System on Chips) and adaptive compute acceleration platforms (ACAPs), which combine programmable logic with processors and other hardware resources for even greater flexibility and performance.
