What is SecOps?

SecOps, short for Security Operations, is a collaborative approach that integrates security practices into every phase of the software development lifecycle and IT operations. It aims to automate and streamline security processes, improve threat detection and response, and foster a culture of shared responsibility between security and operations teams. SecOps commonly utilizes tools for vulnerability management, security information and event management (SIEM), and incident response orchestration.
