What is NextGen Firewalls?

Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) are advanced firewalls that provide deeper inspection of network traffic than traditional firewalls. They typically include features like deep-packet inspection, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), application awareness, and user identity control, in addition to standard firewall functionalities. NGFWs are commonly used to protect networks from sophisticated threats, control application usage, and enforce security policies based on user identity.
