IBM Netezza, now known as IBM PureData System for Analytics (or often just 'Netezza'), was a high-performance data warehouse appliance designed for complex analytics and data warehousing workloads. It was known for its massively parallel processing (MPP) architecture and ability to quickly process large datasets. Common uses included business intelligence, data mining, and generating reports from large volumes of data. The technology was acquired by IBM and while the original appliance is no longer sold, the underlying technology has influenced other IBM offerings like IBM Cloud Pak for Data.
