What is Hyperledger?

Hyperledger is an open-source collaborative effort created to advance cross-industry blockchain technologies. It is a global collaboration, hosted by The Linux Foundation, including leaders in finance, banking, Internet of Things, supply chains, manufacturing and Technology. Hyperledger aims to develop a suite of stable frameworks, tools and libraries for enterprise-grade blockchain deployments. Unlike some public blockchains, Hyperledger projects are generally permissioned, meaning participants are known and authorized, making them suitable for use cases where privacy and control are paramount.
