What is Global Protect?

GlobalProtect is a virtual private network (VPN) solution developed by Palo Alto Networks. It provides secure access to network resources for remote users, essentially extending the organization's security perimeter to wherever the user is located. It's commonly used to ensure that users connecting from outside the office network are authenticated, authorized, and compliant with security policies before they can access sensitive data and applications. GlobalProtect often includes features like always-on VPN, host information profile (HIP) checks, and integration with multi-factor authentication (MFA) to enhance security.
