What is SignalTap?

SignalTap is an embedded logic analyzer provided by Intel (formerly Altera) for debugging FPGA designs. It allows designers to capture internal signals within the FPGA in real-time without requiring external test equipment. The captured data can then be analyzed to verify the functionality and timing of the design. It's commonly used to troubleshoot complex digital circuits and identify design flaws that are difficult to detect through simulation alone.
