What is SaaS?

SaaS stands for Software as a Service. It is a software distribution model where a third-party provider hosts applications and makes them available to customers over the Internet. Instead of purchasing and installing software on their own devices, users subscribe to the software and access it through a web browser or other client. SaaS is commonly used for a wide range of applications, including customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), email, collaboration, and office productivity.
