What is QFN?

QFN (Quad Flat No-leads) is a surface-mount integrated circuit package with leads on all four sides. It's a leadless package, meaning it doesn't have long, protruding pins like some other packages. Instead, it has metal pads around the periphery of the package that make direct contact with the PCB. QFN packages are known for their small size, good thermal performance, and low inductance, making them suitable for a variety of applications including microcontrollers, memory chips, and RF transceivers in consumer electronics, communication devices, and automotive systems.
