**potentiométrie**

What is potentiométrie?

Potentiometry is an electroanalytical method used to measure the electrical potential difference between two electrodes in an electrochemical cell. This potential difference is directly related to the activity (and thus concentration) of specific ions in a solution. A common application is in pH measurements using a pH electrode, which is a type of ion-selective electrode. Potentiometry is also used in titrations to determine the endpoint, where the potential changes rapidly as a function of added titrant.
