What is MBus?

M-Bus (Meter-Bus) is a European standard (EN 13757-2,-3) for remote reading of meters. It is primarily used for reading heat, water, gas, electricity meters, as well as sensors and actuators. M-Bus is a cost-effective and efficient fieldbus for transmitting meter data over long distances using a two-wire cable.
