What is M-Bus?

M-Bus (Meter-Bus) is a European standard (EN 13757) for remote reading of meters. It is designed for communication with heat meters, water meters, gas meters, electricity meters etc. All data loggers, and other consumption measuring devices can be equipped with the M-Bus interface. The M-Bus is a master-slave communication system where a central master station polls meter devices (slaves) through a two-wire cable.
