What is ISAE3402?

ISAE 3402 is an International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE) issued by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB). It provides a framework for assurance engagements performed by service organizations to report on controls at a service organization that are likely to impact a user entity's internal control over financial reporting. Service organizations use ISAE 3402 reports to provide assurance to their user entities (customers) and their auditors about the design and operating effectiveness of their controls.
