Pachymetry measures corneal thickness, a key parameter often used in conjunction with biometry for refractive surgery planning and glaucoma management. Thus, it strongly complements biometry.

Corneal topography maps the curvature of the cornea. This information is complementary to biometry in refractive surgery planning (e.g., IOL power calculation) and diagnosing corneal diseases. It provides information about the anterior corneal surface, while biometry focuses on axial length and other internal eye measurements.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) provides high-resolution cross-sectional images of the eye, including the retina, cornea, and anterior chamber. While biometry measures dimensions like axial length, OCT can provide detailed structural information which complements biometry in diagnosing and managing various ocular conditions. Anterior segment OCT in particular is a very strong complement.
