What is BGP4?
BGP4 (Border Gateway Protocol version 4) is the current standard inter-domain routing protocol used on the Internet. It enables autonomous systems (AS) to exchange routing information, allowing network traffic to be directed between different networks. BGP is a path-vector routing protocol, making routing decisions based on path, network policies, and/or rule-sets configured by a network administrator. It's commonly used by Internet service providers (ISPs) and large organizations to connect to the Internet and manage routing policies.
