What is VSANs?

VSANs, or Virtual SANs, are software-defined storage systems that pool physical storage resources across a cluster of servers and present them as a single shared datastore. They are commonly used to simplify storage management, reduce costs, and improve scalability in virtualized environments. They are also used in hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) to tightly integrate compute and storage resources.
