What is View Models?

View Models are an architectural pattern used in software development, especially in UI-related platforms like MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel). A View Model is responsible for preparing and managing the data for the View. Unlike Models, View Models contain presentation logic and expose data in a way that is easily consumed by the View. They also handle user interactions from the View, updating the Model as needed. View Models help to separate concerns, improve testability, and simplify UI development.
