What is Ventilators?

A ventilator is a machine designed to provide mechanical ventilation by moving breathable air into and out of the lungs, to deliver breaths to a patient who is physically unable to breathe, or breathing insufficiently. Ventilators are essential life support equipment in hospitals, particularly in intensive care units, and are used to treat patients with respiratory failure or severe breathing difficulties. They work by either assisting the patient's own breathing efforts or by completely taking over the work of breathing.
