What is Unidata?

Unidata is a program supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) that provides data, tools, and cyberinfrastructure leadership to advance Earth system science education and research. It is run by the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR). Unidata's primary focus is to provide resources that facilitate access to and analysis of atmospheric and related geoscience data. This includes data formats like NetCDF, software for data access and visualization, and training workshops for educators and researchers. They are commonly used in meteorology, oceanography, and other Earth science disciplines.
