What is UNECE R155?

UNECE R155 is a regulation concerning the approval of vehicles with regards to cyber security and cyber security management system. It aims to ensure that vehicles are protected against cyber threats throughout their lifecycle, from design and development to production, operation, and decommissioning. It includes requirements for manufacturers to establish and maintain a Cyber Security Management System (CSMS) to identify, assess, and mitigate cyber risks. This regulation is commonly used to ensure the cybersecurity of vehicles sold in countries that have adopted UNECE regulations.
