What is UML diagrams?

UML (Unified Modeling Language) diagrams are a standardized visual language for specifying, visualizing, constructing, and documenting the artifacts of software systems, as well as for business modeling and other non-software systems. They are commonly used for representing the static structure (e.g., class diagrams), dynamic behavior (e.g., sequence diagrams, state diagrams), and physical deployment (e.g., deployment diagrams) of a system.
