What is TR069?
TR-069 (Technical Report 069), also known as the CPE WAN Management Protocol (CWMP), is a technical specification published by the Broadband Forum that defines a protocol for remote management of end-user devices (CPE) such as modems, routers, set-top boxes, and VoIP gateways. It enables auto-configuration, software/firmware updates, diagnostics, and other management tasks from a central Auto Configuration Server (ACS), significantly reducing operational costs for service providers and improving customer support.
