What is TIP?

TIP, or the Telecom Infra Project, is a collaborative telecom community launched in 2016 with the goal of accelerating the pace of innovation in the telecom industry and disaggregating network hardware and software. It aims to develop new technologies, examine new business approaches and spur new investments in the telecom space. TIP uses a project group structure focused on specific technical challenges and areas such as access, core and transport networks. Its members include telecom operators, infrastructure providers, system integrators, and other technology companies collaborating to design, build, and deploy telecom network infrastructure solutions, often leveraging open and disaggregated architectures.
