What is Test Director?

Test Director, originally developed by Mercury Interactive (later acquired by HP and then Micro Focus), was a test management tool. It provided functionalities for requirements management, test planning, test execution, and defect tracking. It helped teams organize and manage the testing process, ensuring better quality and traceability. It was widely used for both manual and automated testing efforts. However, Test Director is no longer actively sold or supported and has been superseded by Micro Focus ALM (Application Lifecycle Management).
