What is TAS?

TAS most commonly refers to Tool-Assisted Speedrun. It is the act of playing a video game with the aid of external tools, typically emulators, to achieve perfect or near-perfect gameplay and the fastest possible completion time. These tools often allow frame-by-frame advance, save states, slow down, and input recording/replaying, allowing for inhuman precision and optimization.
