What is System C?

SystemC is a set of C++ class library and macros which allows system-level modeling covering aspects such as architecture, communication, and software. It's commonly used for hardware/software co-design, virtual prototyping, and electronic system-level (ESL) design, allowing engineers to model and simulate systems at a higher level of abstraction than traditional hardware description languages like VHDL or Verilog.
