What is SQLi?

SQL Injection (SQLi) is a code injection technique that exploits security vulnerabilities in an application's software. It occurs when user-supplied input is used to construct SQL queries without proper sanitization or validation. Attackers can inject malicious SQL code into the query, potentially allowing them to bypass security measures and gain unauthorized access to the database. This can lead to data breaches, modification or deletion of data, authentication bypass, and even remote command execution on the database server.
