What is Spirometry?

Spirometry is a common pulmonary function test that measures the amount of air you can breathe in and out and how fast you can exhale. It is used to diagnose and monitor lung conditions like asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other respiratory illnesses. The test involves breathing forcefully into a device called a spirometer.
