What is Spenvis?

SPENVIS (Space Environment Information System) is a web-based interface providing access to models of the space environment and tools for assessing the effects of that environment on spacecraft and their components. It is commonly used by space engineers and scientists to evaluate radiation effects, atmospheric drag, and other environmental factors that can impact satellite design and operations. SPENVIS provides tools for calculating radiation doses, solar cell degradation, spacecraft charging, and more, using models of the Earth's radiation belts, solar activity, and atmospheric density.
