What is solid modeling software?

Solid modeling software is a type of 3D computer-aided design (CAD) software that represents the solid geometry of objects. Unlike wireframe models, which only represent the edges of an object, solid models define both the surface and interior volume. This allows for more realistic visualization, accurate calculations of mass properties (volume, weight, center of gravity), and interference detection.
