What is soldadura?

Soldadura, or welding in English, is a fabrication or sculptural process that joins materials, usually metals or thermoplastics, by causing fusion, which is distinct from lower temperature metal-joining techniques such as brazing and soldering, which do not melt the base metal. In welding, the pieces to be joined are melted at the joint. Welding is used in a wide variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, and automotive, to create structures, machines, and other products. Common welding processes include arc welding, gas welding, resistance welding, and laser welding.
