What is SiteGenesis?
SiteGenesis was a reference storefront application provided by Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware). It served as a starting point and best-practice example for developing e-commerce websites on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform. It was highly customizable and used as a foundation upon which merchants could build their own unique online stores. However, SiteGenesis has been superseded by newer reference architectures like Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA) and Progressive Web App (PWA) Kit, which offer improved performance, maintainability, and mobile-first design principles.
