What is SilkRoad?
Silk Road was an online black market and the first modern darknet market. As such, providing a domain is not appropriate. It was best known as a platform for selling illegal drugs. It also hosted the sale of other illicit goods and services, including weapons, fake identification documents, and hacking tools. Silk Road operated using Tor anonymity network and accepted Bitcoin as payment to maintain user anonymity. It was shut down by law enforcement in 2013.
