What is SharePoint Designer Workflows?

SharePoint Designer Workflows were a feature in older versions of SharePoint (primarily SharePoint 2010 and 2013) that allowed users to automate business processes and tasks within a SharePoint environment without writing code. These workflows could be used for a variety of tasks, such as automating document approval processes, sending email notifications, updating list items, and managing tasks. Microsoft has deprecated SharePoint Designer workflows in favor of Power Automate (Microsoft Flow), which is a more modern and powerful cloud-based workflow platform.
