What is SDGs?

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all". The SDGs were set up in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by 2030. They cover a broad range of social and economic development issues, including poverty, hunger, health, education, climate change, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, environment and social justice. They are used as a framework for international cooperation and national development strategies to address global challenges.
