What is Scaling?

Scaling, in the context of technology, refers to the ability of a system, network, or process to handle a growing amount of work in a capable manner or its ability to be enlarged to accommodate that growth. It is commonly used to increase capacity and improve performance as demand grows for a particular application or service.
