What is SAP Script?

SAPscript is SAP's older text-processing system, primarily used for creating and maintaining formatted text documents, forms (like invoices, purchase orders), and correspondence within the SAP environment. It's largely been superseded by Smart Forms and Adobe Forms but is still found in legacy systems. SAPscript documents consist of a header, paragraph formats, character formats, and window definitions. The associated ABAP code is used to populate the SAPscript layout with data extracted from the SAP system.
