What is RSA SecurID?

RSA SecurID is an authentication mechanism using time-based one-time passwords (TOTP). It is commonly used for multi-factor authentication, requiring users to enter both a password and a code generated by a SecurID token (hardware or software) for secure access to networks and applications. The token generates a new code every few seconds, making it difficult for attackers to compromise accounts even if they have obtained the user's static password.
