What is RPKI?
RPKI (Resource Public Key Infrastructure) is a security framework designed to secure the Internet's routing infrastructure. It allows resource holders (like network operators) to cryptographically sign statements about the IP address blocks and Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) they are authorized to use. These statements, called Route Origin Authorizations (ROAs), specify which ASNs are authorized to originate a particular IP prefix. Routers can then use this information to validate BGP announcements, preventing route hijacking and other routing anomalies.
