ROSCOE (Remote Operating System Console Environment) was a teleprocessing monitor from Applied Data Research (ADR) for IBM mainframe computers running OS/MVT, OS/VS1, or MVS. It provided interactive access to the mainframe and was commonly used for program development, job submission and monitoring, and system administration. It predated and competed with IBM's TSO (Time Sharing Option).
