What is Rook-Ceph?

Rook is an open-source cloud-native storage orchestrator for Kubernetes. It turns distributed storage systems like Ceph into self-managing, self-scaling, and self-healing storage services. Rook automates the tasks of deployment, bootstrapping, configuration, provisioning, scaling, upgrading, migrating, disaster recovery, monitoring, and resource management. Ceph is a distributed object, block, and file storage platform designed for excellent performance, reliability, and scalability. Rook uses Kubernetes operators to automate the deployment and management of Ceph within a Kubernetes cluster, making it easier to manage and utilize Ceph's capabilities.
