What is RemoteView?

RemoteView, in the context of Android development, refers to a class that describes a view hierarchy that can be displayed in another process. This is commonly used for displaying app widgets, sending notifications, and showing views on the Android Wear platform. A RemoteView doesn't inflate the layout directly in the other process; instead, it carries a set of instructions that the target process executes to construct the view hierarchy. This allows the hosting process (e.g., the system's launcher or notification manager) to display content provided by an application without the application needing to run in that process.
