What is Pointwise?

Pointwise is a software tool used for mesh generation, primarily in the field of computational fluid dynamics (CFD). It is used to create high-quality meshes, which are discrete representations of the geometry of a physical object or space, that are then used as input for CFD solvers to simulate fluid flow and heat transfer. Pointwise excels in generating structured, unstructured (triangles and tetrahedra), and hybrid meshes, and supports various CAD formats. It also offers advanced tools for mesh control, such as surface meshing, volume meshing, and boundary layer meshing. By creating these meshes, engineers and researchers are able to run simulations on various products.
