What is plasma cutter?

A plasma cutter is a tool that cuts electrically conductive materials by using an accelerated jet of hot plasma. Common materials cut with a plasma torch include steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass and copper, although other conductive metals may also be cut. Plasma cutting is often used in fabrication shops, automotive repair, industrial construction, and salvage and scrapping operations.
