What is Pegasus?

Pegasus is a spyware developed by the Israeli cyberarms company NSO Group. It can be covertly installed on mobile phones (and other devices) running most versions of iOS and Android. Once installed, it enables the operator to have access to the target device's data and microphone, and to track the device's location. It is primarily used by governments and law enforcement agencies for surveillance purposes, often targeting journalists, activists, and human rights defenders. Its use has raised significant concerns about privacy and human rights.
