What is ODP?

ODP stands for Open Directory Project (also known as DMOZ - Directory Mozilla). It was a multilingual, open-content directory of World Wide Web links. It was constructed and maintained by a vast, global community of volunteer editors. It categorized websites into a comprehensive directory structure. The directory was often used to help seed web crawlers and provide initial categorization data. It was discontinued in 2017.
