What is OCPI?
OCPI (Open Charge Point Interface) is an open protocol that facilitates automated roaming and charging between different Charge Point Operators (CPO) and eMobility Service Providers (eMSP) in the electric vehicle (EV) charging industry. It enables EV drivers to charge at various charging stations, regardless of the provider, and be billed through their chosen eMSP. It establishes a standardized way for CPOs and eMSPs to exchange information, such as charge point availability, pricing, and transaction details, promoting interoperability and a seamless charging experience for EV users.
