What is NX/Teamcenter?

NX (formerly Unigraphics) is a high-end CAD/CAM/CAE software package originally developed by McDonnell Douglas, but now owned by Siemens Digital Industries Software. It is used for product design, engineering and manufacturing, offering capabilities such as parametric solid modeling, direct modeling, simulation, and manufacturing planning. Teamcenter, also by Siemens, is a product lifecycle management (PLM) system that manages all product-related information and processes across the product lifecycle, from initial concept to end-of-life. Teamcenter is often integrated with NX to provide comprehensive data management, workflow automation, and collaboration capabilities for engineering teams.
