What is NSO?

NSO Group is an Israeli technology firm primarily known for developing and selling surveillance software, most notably Pegasus. Pegasus is a highly sophisticated spyware that can be remotely installed on mobile phones and other devices. It allows the operator to extract a wide range of data, including messages, emails, photos, location data, and phone calls. It can also activate the device's camera and microphone without the user's knowledge. NSO Group states that its technology is intended for use by governments to combat terrorism and crime.
